Rosa is a native of Huntsville Alabama. She is the seventh of thirteen children born to the late Mr. & Mrs. Laurice Kelley Sr. She began singing, at the age of six, in the neighborhood church choir. She later sang with her family group, called the “Kelley family”, and her high school chorus.
Rosa has completed a career in corporate America, raised a family, and now pursuing her lifelong dreams and goals, namely ministering through singing and acting. Alongside the pursuit of a career in the arts, she also loves to work with young children teaching them about the love of God. Rosa has a BS Degree in Business Management and pursuing a second degree in Music Management.
She has voice training with Del Patrick at the Sue Hampton School of Music and Georgia State University under the direction of Elizabeth Rice. She currently studies voice at Georgia State University (GSU) with Amanda Stansfield, instructed by Dr. Kathryn Hartgrove. She is an active member and soloist with GSU Choral Union Choir.
Rosa has training in Commercial Film and Acting from Tara’s Modeling and Talent, Actors Models & Talent for Christ (AMTC), under the direction of Michael McClendon, Nick Conti’s Professional Acting Studio and Your Act Studios under the direction of Bob Harter. She has appeared in the television series, “Drop Dead Diva, “The Watch,” “ID Theft” and the Ricky Smiley Show. She has performed in theatre productions at the Rialto (Run) and Clayton County Performing Arts Center (The Client).
Rosa recently won the best Gospel/Soul Academia Award for her song, “Secret Places Hiding In Jesus,” for March 2016.
She owns an independently record label, (Asor Music), and recently released her first album on her label entitled, “Turn U Around” produced by Ricky Callier.
Rosa continues to sing in her church and different venues in the city and around the country. She also serves in her church conducting congregational hymns.
